A new factory library of 100 presets in twelve categories: Kick, 808 & Bass, Snare, Clap & Rim, Hats & Cymbals, Toms, Percussion, Loop & Break, Drum Bus, Room & Overheads, Live Drums and Creative. Every preset says why you would load it, and you see that line as you hover.
Every preset was measured on forty drum clips before it shipped: its level stays within a decibel and a half, it never adds a click, it never sacrifices the hi-hats to get at the kick, and it has to change the shape of a hit by at least two decibels or it was cut.
Presets can now set the Detect band, Auto gain, Gain, Air and Soft Clip. The 808 presets add knock above 700 Hz and leave the sub untouched.
The old bank added up to eight decibels of level with no compensation. Every preset now holds its level, so you hear the shape and not the loudness.

Forty built-in drum clips — trap, rap, boom bap, R&B, neo-soul, house, EDM, funk, live kit — play through SHAPR from the preset screen, with Bypass to compare. All of them were made for SHAPR; nothing is sampled. Nine are deliberately wrong (too much room, a ringing snare, a flat bus) so you can hear a preset fix something.

YOURS, in the preset screen: save what you are hearing under a name, sixteen a tab. They live in a file, so a sound saved in one song is there in the next.
Tags: tap knock, tighten, room and so on to narrow any category.

Sidechain. EXT listens to another track. Shape the drum bus from the kick alone, or a bass from the kick that should own the low end.
Attack and sustain time. Two TIME fields, 25% to 400%, set how fast each half of the shape happens. Snap a snare or let a room breathe.
A/B. Two whole settings side by side. Flip between them, copy one to the other.
Meters. In and out level, and a clip light that holds for a moment so you cannot miss it.
Stereo. Shape the whole image, the middle only, the sides only, or each channel on its own.
Preset tools. Star a preset, search by name, rename your own, share them as files, and lock Mix and Gain so browsing keeps your balance.
Auto gain now works on a fixed clock, so it sounds the same at every buffer size.
A new licence screen that says plainly what the free version is and what the full one costs.

SHAPR opens on Gentle Bus Shape — a 60% parallel shape with Auto gain on — and each tab opens on its everyday preset.
Anonymous usage numbers, so we can see which parts of SHAPR people use. Never audio, names or file names. Paid copies can turn it off under Privacy in the plug-in. What is sent.
The standalone app now has the microphone right it needs under macOS's hardened runtime.
